The 58-year-old Kings Park man was trapped in his vehicle and died at the scene.
Police say they've arrested the 25-year-old driver of the van on a charge of driving while intoxicated. He is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
Police say the driver of a third car was injured when the van rolled over and struck the vehicle. That driver was treated at a hospital for back pain.
The van's driver and its passenger also were treated for injuries at a hospital.
