Attempted abduction investigation in Norwalk, CT

NORWALK, CT The incident allegedly happened at the at the McDonald's Restaurant located at 726 Connective Avenue.

Someone called 911 to report the incident.

Officers on the scene quickly reviewed surveillance footage.

Police say the surveillance video shows a man who reached out and grabbed the shoulder of a 7-year-old girl as she was preparing to leave with her party.

The man did not attempt to pull the 7-year-old away and was reportedly startled off after an adult said something to the man.

No one was abducted, and everyone is safe.

The man is described as a white male, in his early 20's with black hair, wearing a black fleece type jacket and blue jeans.

He may have been with a Hispanic woman with her hair pulled back in pony tail. Police believe the pair left in a small maroon sedan.

The Youth Bureau is continuing the investigation.
