Several people escaped with their lives following a spectacular crash involving a city bus, a tractor trailer, two vehicles and a bodega in the Hollis section of Queens.

The accident happened at the intersection of Hillside Avenue and Hollis Court Boulevard just after 1:45 p.m.

Witnesses said the bus came flying through the intersection, crashing into the minivan and SUV and then into the parked truck.

The crash left a tractor-trailer hauling Goya products leaning against the bodega.

At least five people were treated at area hospitals.

Incredibly, none of the injuries appeared to be life threatening.

Hillside Avenue was closed for the investigation.

Investigators said the bus was out of service at the time of the accident. They are focusing on possible brake failure as the cause of the accident.
