Channel 7 is once again the #1 station in the #1 market

In a show of strength for the key 11pm news time period, "Eyewitness News at 11:00" featuring Bill Ritter, Sade Baderinwa, Lee Goldberg and Rob Powers, scored a 6.1 household rating, the highest for a major sweep in the last three years, and holds a decisive 40% advantage over its closest competitor among Adults 25-54.

WABC-TV's ongoing daily success begins with the early morning news race. The station's "Eyewitness News This Morning" with Lori Stokes, Ken Rosato and Bill Evans, begins the day at 4:30 a.m. and boasts the highest ratings from 4:30-5:00 a.m.among DMA Households and Adults 25-54. At 5:00 a.m., WABC-TV also leads in DMA Households. And once again, more homes watched "Eyewitness News This Morning" at 6am than any other local newscast.

At 9:00am, "LIVE! with Kelly" registered an 11% improvement over last year's DMA Household ratings and also is up +27% among key Women 25-54. Among Women 18-49, the show is up +50% over last year. "LIVE! with Kelly" is produced by WABC-TV and syndicated nationally.

"Eyewitness News at Noon" with Lori Stokes, Ken Rosato and Bill Evans holds a 43% lead over its closest competition in DMA Households. This mid-day mainstay also continues to hold large leads among Adult 25-54 and Women 25-54 viewers.

WABC-TV's "Eyewitness News First at 4," with Liz Cho, David Novarro, and Lee Goldberg, matches up well in key demos with most of its evening news competitors that air at 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. The newscast debuted last year and comes in 2nd place in DMA Households behind veteran Judge Judy.

"Eyewitness News at 5:00" with Diana Williams, Sade Baderinwa and Lee Goldberg, leads its time period in Adults 25-54 and other key demos and comes in 2nd place in overall DMA Households.

The weekday edition of "Eyewitness News at 6:00" with Bill Ritter, Liz Cho, Lee Goldberg and Rob Powers, holds a 44% advantage in DMA Households and also leads its competitors among Adults 25-54. This sweep marks the 100th consecutive ratings survey period that WABC-TV has finished an outright #1 in DMA Households among local M-F 6:00 p.m. newscasts.

"Eyewitness News" is equally strong on Saturdays and Sundays, where WABC-TV airs more local morning news than any of its competitors. "Eyewitness News This Morning" with Michelle Charlesworth, Phil Lipof, and Amy Freeze collectively ranks #1 among DMA Households and Adults 25-54. In the evening, "Eyewitness News at 11:00," featuring Joe Torres, Sandra Bookman, Laura Behnke, and Jeff Smith, continues to perform well on two very competitive evenings. Earlier in 2012, these weekend late newscasts expanded to a full hour, and the new 11:30 p.m. half-hours have performed well, improving their time periods over last year. "Eyewitness News" is the first local 11:00 p.m. newscast to expand to a full hour.

ABC's "Good Morning America" maintains a solid #2 position on weekday mornings in DMA Households and key demos. "The View" easily wins its time period in DMA Households and key Women 25-54. "The Chew," which debuted at the start of the season, wins its time period among Women 25-54. At 3:00 p.m., longtime veteran "General Hospital" wins its time period in DMA Households, Women 25-54 and Women 18-49. In the weeknight evenings, ABC's "World News with Diane Sawyer" continues to lead its network news competitors in both DMA Households and Adults 25-54.

WABC-TV's syndicated programs "Millionaire," "Jeopardy," and "Wheel of Fortune" continue to be big winners in their respective time periods in Households and most key demographics, including Adults and Women 25-54.

In Prime, WABC-TV ranks #1 overall in DMA Households and Adults 25-54, as strong freshman programs "Revenge", "Suburgatory," "Scandal" and "Once Upon A Time" joined breakout hit "Modern Family" and strong veterans "Dancing with the Stars," "The Middle," "Grey's Anatomy," and "Castle."

ABC's "Nightline" continues its long run of success by ranking #1 among all Late Night programs in DMA Households and Adults 25-54. In Late Night, "Jimmy Kimmel Live" wins its time period among Adults 25-54 as it continues to generate buzz and perform well among all late night network entertainment programs.

WABC-TV's iPhone app generates more than 3 million page views to improve upon last May's output, while its Android app generates more than 1.5 million page views to nearly double last year's figure. WABC-TV's Eyewitness News iPad app doubles its page views from a year ago, while 7online continues to be strong with approximately 6 million page views on wired and mobile devices.
