Eyewitness News Provides Fifteen Extra Hours of Extreme Weather Coverage in February
NEW YORK When relentless storms hit the New York metropolitan area, Channel 7 was a key source of information for viewers with fifteen hours of extra weather coverage during the sweep in addition to regularly scheduled newscasts. WABC-TV's digital properties saw traffic surges in addition to the high ratings garnered by the television coverage.

On weekday mornings at 430am, "Eyewitness News This Morning" with Lori Stokes, Ken Rosato, Bill Evans and Heather O'Rourke wins its time period among DMA Households while helping Tri-State residents begin their day. At 5am, Eyewitness News This Morning wins the DMA Household rating by an 83% margin and also wins among Adults 25-54. At 6am, WABC-TV is #1 with a 62% advantage among DMA Households and a 60% edge among Adults 25-54.

"Good Morning America" is a ratings powerhouse in the country's largest market from 7-9am, ranking #1 despite heavy Olympics tie-ins on the competition. It holds a 31% advantage over its closest competitor in DMA Households, a 13% advantage among Adults 25-54, and a 24% advantage amongWomen 25-54.

WABC-TV's success continues at 9am, when "LIVE with Kelly and Michael" leads its time period. The longtime morning show hit leads its closest competitor by +33% among DMA Households and leads among key Women 25-54. " LIVE with Kelly and Michael" twice produced single day record-high ratings among DMA Households in this sweep, the highest since Michael Strahan joined the show in September 2012 as Kelly Ripa's co-host. "LIVE with Kelly and Michael" is produced by WABC-TV and syndicated nationally, where it remains the second highest-rated talk show in the country.

"Eyewitness News at Noon" with Lori Stokes, Ken Rosato and Bill Evans holds a commanding 83% lead over its closest competition in DMA Households while also demonstrating year-to-year growth. The program attracts more than twice as many key Women 25-54 viewers as its competitors. WABC-TV's "Eyewitness News First at 4," with Liz Cho, David Novarro, and Lee Goldberg, is up year-to-year in key demos, where it also ties or tops many of its evening news competitors that air at 5pm and 6pm. Among DMA Households, "Eyewitness News First at 4" topped Olympics coverage in headto- head airings.

WABC-TV's "Eyewitness News at 5" with Diana Williams, Sade Baderinwa and Lee Goldberg tops its nearest competitor by 29% in DMA Households and delivers more Adults 25-54 than any competitor with a 50% advantage in the demo.

The weekday edition of "Eyewitness News at 6" with Bill Ritter, Liz Cho, Lee Goldberg and Rob Powers, delivers a Household rating that is 41% higher than that of its closest competitor and also holds a 67% lead among Adults 25-54. The February 2014 sweep marks the 120th consecutive ratings survey period that WABC-TV has finished an outright #1 in DMA Households among local M-F 6pm newscasts. The weeknight edition of "Eyewitness News at 11" with Bill Ritter, Sade Baderinwa, Lee Goldberg and Rob Powers was #1 in DMA Households among newscasts that aired at 11pm, and was #1 on nights the Olympics did not air.

"Eyewitness News" is equally strong on Saturdays and Sundays. "Eyewitness News This Morning" with Michelle Charlesworth, Rob Nelson, and Amy Freeze, collectively delivers more Households and key Adults 25-54 than any of its competitors. On weekend nights, "Eyewitness News at 11," featuring Joe Torres, Sandra Bookman, Jeff Smith and Laura Behnke, was competitive despite having to face the locally-played Super Bowl in the first weekend of the sweep and the Olympics on other weekends. WABC-TV's syndicated programs "Millionaire," "Jeopardy," and "Wheel of Fortune" continue to be the #1 programs in their respective time periods in Households and most key demographics.

ABC's "The View" handily wins its time period in DMA Households at 11am and "The Chew" follows suit at 1pm in Households and key Women 25-54. At 2pm, ABC's longtime soap "General Hospital" wins its time period among DMA Households andWomen 25-54 by wide margins, and attracts more Women 25-54 than any other program in the market during the day. And longtime mainstay "ABC World News" wins its time period handily with a 44% advantage among DMA Households and a 12% edge among Adults 25-54. In Late Night, "Jimmy Kimmel Live" continues to generate buzz and perform well among all late night network entertainment programs, while "Nightline" remains successful in its 1230am weeknight time period.

In addition to the recently introducedWATCH ABC, the station's other growing mobile apps are also proving extremely popular in the market. Channel 7's Eyewitness News App, Alarm App andWeather App generated more than 39 million page impressions across all platforms, coming off a record month of more than 42 million page impressions in the slightly longer month of January.

7online also continues to perform extremely well, with more than 15 million page views. WABC-TV also continues to maintain a strong presence among social media with more than 516,000 Facebook Likes and 259,000 Twitter followers across all our pages.
