Larry Galloway, 50, was charged in 2008 in the cold case, although had been a longtime suspect. He pleaded guilty Monday morning in Kane County Court to voluntary manslaughter and was sentenced to 10 years in prison, according to the Beacon-News.

Galloway, a family friend, strangled Hall with an electric cord in 1981. DNA tests led to his arrest after officials seized his used utensils from an Aurora restaurant. He had refused other DNA requests.
