Small plane crashes in NJ field

NEW JERSEY The single-engine Cessna took off from an airport in Andover around 1 p.m. Wednesday, and its engine failed about 30 minutes later.

They brought the plane in for landing in an open field a few miles north of Interstate 78 in Hunterdon County, authorities said.

The plane's nose dug into the ground, flipping it over, but the student pilot and instructor walked away unharmed. Their names were not immediately disclosed.
