Police search for missing NJ hunter

PAULSBORO New Jersey State Police spokesman Sgt. Stephen Jones says jet boats, aircraft, scent-tracking dogs and sonar devices are all being used in the search for 23-year-old Christopher Pettit of Gibbstown in Gloucester County.

Jones says Pettit had gone hunting with his friend Carl Merril, 24, of Paulsboro, on a boat belonging to an unidentified 41-year-old Turnersville man and the man's 12-year-old son, who they had befriended in an online duck hunting forum.

Jones says Pettit went missing the moment the boat capsized, while the three others swam to a small island and were rescued by a passing boater.
