77-year-old woman stabbed in Bridgeport

A 77-year-old woman was critically injured in a stabbing in Bridgeport Thursday.

It happened outside a store at the intersection of Roosevelt and Williams.

Two people walking by saw the attack and were able to stop it and hold the suspect for police.

Police have arrested 31-year-old Marvin Narcisse.

Police say it was a random attack.

Narcisse is being held on one million dollar bond and has his first court appearance Friday.

Narcisse has previous mental issues and is on supervised parole. He has to wear an ankle bracelet.

Police have not yet released the woman's name.
